Green Lane Centre

Green Lane Centre is a focus for economic and social regeneration in Whitby. Opened in 2008 at a cost of £1.4 million, this award-winning building provides excellent facilities, which include meeting rooms, training areas and business units. The regular income from these helps to subsidise the community facilities within the centre. It offers a modern, energy efficient environment which is easily accessible for all its users, who enjoy a wide range of activities from martial arts, step, dance and yoga, arts to bingo and worship. It is used by an ever increasing number of organisations for meetings and seminars, including the British Sub-Aqua Club, North Yorkshire County Council and health services.

Last year at Green Lane Centre we assisted 365 people in skills development, supported 53 businesses and helped 58 people achieve Level 2 qualifications.
The success of your event can be greatly enhanced by the quality and ambience of the venue you choose - that's what makes Green Lane Centre the perfect choice.

The Gallery is an inspiration space commanding spectacular views over Whitby, the Abbey and out to sea. This multi-purpose room is fast becoming a favourite for many organisations and community groups.

Accommodating up to 70 people the space lends itself to all manner of activities including meetings, training courses, lectures, conferences, art exhibitions and events. The room comes equipped with audio-visual presentation equipment, broadband, a hearing induction loop and lockable storage.
