Allatt House and Church House

Allatt House
Close to Scarborough town centre, is the head office of Coast and Moors Voluntary Action. It offers a range of office accommodation and meeting space for rent and currently houses 14 voluntary and community organisations and 2 public sector tenants. Existing tenants include the Citizens Advice Bureau, Scarborough Disablement Action Group and Action for Children and new tenants welcomed in 2009/10 were: Speak Up Now North Yorkshire (SUNNY), The Meeting Place and Scarborough & District Community Network.

In 2009/10 Allatt House Annex meeting room played host to activities including wine tasting, creative writing and worship. This large meeting room with kitchen facilities is suitable for a diverse range of activities such as training events, conferences and away days. Organisations that have recently used the facility include the Institute of Advanced Motorists, North Yorkshire Credit Union and Scarborough & District Writers Circle.

Church House
Centrally located in Whitby, Church House provides the focus of activity for many voluntary and community services. Good Neighbours Community Transport, Whitby Disablement Action Group and the Citizens Advice Bureau, Lobster Pot Creche and Caring Together are based in the building. A busy conference room is available for hire and has been used for many training events and meetings over the last year. A smaller interview room and hot-desk office have been rented on a flexible basis by a number of organisations such as Whitby Underground, NECA, HOPE and Working Links.
